Grey priestess of Kelemvor

The keeper of the grey tent at the back of the Plinth — everything about her and it grey: tent, rug, robes, hair. She was kneeling in prayer when the crew arrived and, without looking up, said "someone approaches." Her first question was whether they had come to worship Kelemvor; told they had not, she allowed that a curse could sometimes be lifted here, "depending on the curse."

She rattled a cup for an offering before doing anything — a donation, she was clear afterward, not payment for services. Then she had Hal kneel, worked grey smoke over her hands, and read the cursed crypt sword:

> "This is no ordinary curse. This is what we call grave goods. You stole this from a tomb. This does not belong to you."

She named the only two remedies: return the sword to where it was found, or find someone in the lineage of its rightful owner — whoever would have inherited the estate, or a blood descendant — and obtain their permission to carry it.

A patron at the Deep Water Inn sent the crew to her, saying she had freed his sister from a ring that had made her cruel and would not come off.
