The Plinth
An offshoot of the marketplace in Waterdeep's Sea Ward: rows and rows of tents, each devoted to a god with no permanent stone temple in the city. Ceremonies and rituals run continuously, each tent holding a different idol — including, on the crew's visit, a man floating upside down with small cuts above his eyebrows dripping blood.
Two tents mattered to the crew. At the back stands the grey tent of Kelemvor, where the grey priestess read Hal's cursed crypt sword as grave goods and named the two ways to lift it. Elsewhere among the shrines, a priestess of Umberlee was found wearing the eye-coin as a bracelet — the only reason the crew ever identified the symbol, since it is not displayed on any tent's banner.
