Priestess of Umberlee

A short human woman with long grey wavy hair and robes to the floor, keeping Umberlee's shrine among the tents of the Plinth. The crew found her only by chance: after an hour hunting the eye symbol across the Plinth's banners, they spotted it on her wrist instead — the same coin, eye on one face, already beginning to corrode.

She explained the coin as an old symbol of Umberlee: shine and rot at war on a single disc, a cycle of life and death, each coin bearing its own unique number on the corroded face. Give your heart to Umberlee, she said, and life will corrode you and also wash you clean.

Shown the crew's coin and told the whole story of the Deep Water Inn, her verdict was that the coin is connected to Umberlee but not itself cursed — it merely displays the corruption of the sea. What had been done with it was strange, and not usual:

> "I think this is the work of a warlock. Somebody who has tapped into the power of Umberlee and is using it to their own means."

She floated an "imposter god" as the alternative, said whether Umberlee would sanction such use "all depends on the nature of the contract," and noted she knows no warlocks personally — they operate in secret and are usually contract-bound not to name their patrons. To find the caster, she advised seeking a divination wizard or cleric.

She blessed the whole party, tried to sell them a hand-transcribed scripture for 2 gold (no takers), and told Toz that his god will not always be there — "Umberlee will eventually defeat him."
